As you may be aware, the Badger Trust recently lost its appeal against the judgment given by Lord Justice Ouseley in July in respect of the Judicial Review made against the Government’s decision to hold a pilot trial of the free-shooting of badgers in parts of Somerset and Gloucestershire. This is clearly not the outcome they were hoping for. If, like me you feel passionate about this and would like to add your voice to the petition to get this cull stopped, then please click on the link below:http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/38257

As sooty know.s I have been in touch with the R.S.P.C.A. Head Office at Horsham, to see if something can be done to start a fund raising campaign for the inoculation of all badgers, as I feel a lot of people are going round in circles over this, and not coming up with any alternatives and it seems there is a lot of negative thought on this subject, and I feel it's about time we were all of a positive mind. both for the badgers and the cattle, farmers and in the end us, for thats how the food chain work's.

Well my MP is supportive but says that the Government is not listening.

There was an odd comment on BBC Points West last night. They interviewed a farmer who I really felt sorry for, then commented on the Parliamentary discussion, then included a quote from DEFRA which said basically that the debate wouldnt change the proposed pilot cull.
Edit: Further announcement from DEFRA on the main news today that the cull was going to go ahead and there would be no delay.
