More anti raptor bile from Linklater

I usually consign Linklater's tirades straight to chip wrapping (though  they do spoil the taste a bit), but this one may well give RSPB membership recruitment a nice boost..... http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2012/aug/12/why-claws-are-out-for-royal-society-for-protection-of-birds

Every day a little more irate about bird of prey persecution, and I have a cat - Got a problem with that?

I even wonder if Linklater is a landowner

A Wikipedia page on him says he owns a large shooting estate in Scotland.  I don't know where.  Apparently another journalist had a right go about him attacking the RSPB and misrepresenting facts while failing to declare his bias.  Saying that, his bias is rather obvious.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Landowner or not he does seem to be a general stirrer,it is unfortunate that it is the tripe like he seems to write that sells papers not good news stories,I suppose in some ways we are to blame for buying the papers that print such rubbish.

    Pete

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can

  • That's pretty much why I don't buy newspapers.  I don't know why people have this appetite for other people's hatreds and intolerances.......it's so pointless.
