Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
I agree that if it is a reputable tree surgeon, and if the nests are at risk, the work won't be done. Two 'ifs'. It was also mentioned the work can't be completed without access to both properties/gardens. There won't be many surgeons wishing to damage nests and risking being filmed doing so. Presumably, if necessary, access can be denied. I wasn't saying there could be an issue. I was just pointing out that felling a tree with no nests in may well not be an issue and may well not be breaking the law in this case. Without photos, impossible to say one way or another. Knowing pigeons and doves, it's several days since the post so there's a fair chance one or other referred to nest has failed already.
