I had a rare couple of hours this last week and shock-horror, it was sunny!
A rare event these days it seems....
So, being the time of year for crocuses, I nipped over to Baddesley Clinton, a National Trust property to grab a few photos.
This wee crocus got photobombed, by a honeybee, all covered in pollen hiding further down the stamen, and the AF nicely locked on to the honeybee
No honeybee here....
I spy a honeybee sneaking in to photobomb another crocus piccie!
Look at them there pollen sacks!
Bottoms up!
That's better, a proper pose and a face to see
More crocuses
While walking around the rather large pond, a grey wagtail flew onto a log
Then flew off
and back around.....
only to fly off again!
An aster
Some primroses
The daffs by the church are starting to look good, and on par for full bloom towards the last week of March.
and more crocuses, this time in the churchyard
The daffs in the churchyard are also looking very good....
Looking over in to the adjoining field, a pair of mistle thrushes, but only one piccie....
The daytime moon (at least there was blue sky, not grey....)
And the subject to start the thread with, and end with, a crocus....

Not quite, but its almost sprung upon us, back to the dull, gloooooomeeey battleship grey skies today......
You're welcome and thank you.

Thank you Linda.
We don't get many grey wagtails and I don't think I've ever seen one before at Baddesley around here. I've seen pied wagtails on many occasions there, but never a grey.
The last grey wagtail I saw was on a visit to Conwy back in Sept 2021.
