Hopefully, if this lovely pair have eggs/a brood. as they did last season, the male will deliver prey to the female throughout the night. If the hunting is good, excess prey is cached (stored) on the flooring of the box by the female during incubation/feeding of the chicks and herself.

ENS but the male was in when I checked on my phone at 6:55 but, unfortunately, I was too late to get a pic before he left at 6:56 (my laptop was still 'waking up'!)
