As with the 2020 season, barn owls did not use the box for breeding in 2021, will this year be different?

9 eggs laid: Incubation period is 30-31 days
Hatches:
1st chick - 21.5.21 2nd chick - 23.5.22 3rd chick - 24.5.22 4th chick - 26.5.22 5th chick - 29.5.22 6th chick - 2.6.22 7th chick - ??? 8th chick - 5.6.22
Following this thread over the last 24 hrs, my cynicism as to the report of the loose ring and no video soon afterwards is running rife....
But alarm bells are ringing, hopefully falsely.

Just thought I would post this for anyone who is missing the owlets. Visited Blue house farm this evening and got to see all four of our beautiful babies. This was the first one to emerge from the nest. View — uploads.disquscdn.com
Brilliant.
I guess through my short life, I've seen so much negative when it comes to nature my mind goes on autopilot, and not always a good thing either, so it really is good to see a positive outcome, and many thanks for the update.
