On another matter (and this is for Alan, Kate, Wendy and any interested lurkers!), regarding a Forumate meet-up at Leighton Moss in 2022, I posted a new thread a couple of days ago, had a few responses, but then Mr GB said we needed to book something now for our usual longer holiday in Wales following the meet-up because places in north Wales were going quickly. Apologies for having chosen dates, but we have now booked a hotel room (for visiting LM) for T-F nights, 28 June - 01 July. and we have booked a cottage in Wales for afterwards. Hope regulations, the virus, the health of all of us (and all of your schedules!) allow us to meet-up at LM then.

Thanks, Alan, interesting about her eating pebbles. I know some birds need grit to help grind up what actual food they eat--wonder if Perries do the same. One did look very much like a pebble but the later lighter-coloured thing might have been a piece of bone, perhaps? Seems unlikely that she mistook the pebbles for food by scent/smell since so few birds can actually smell well at all.
As for a meet-up at LM, yes, it is early to make definite plans but we are gambling that we will be able to travel then and holiday cottages are going fast. I hope things work out such that you, the other 'regulars', and with luck, some other folks will manage to overlap with those dates somehow--fingers crossed.
