Happy New Year everyone!
Great start with lovely captures of our pair ... but mighty strange about that 'third' one ... maybe a late 'first footer' Lol!
Good to have some colour Scylla, hope you are continuing to improve!
Gales seem to be a bit of a fixture just lately, another blow overnight promised here, stay safe all!
You're very welcome, Ann. We must enjoy this pair while we can, they should disperse to their own areas soon, I would think.
21:00 Both there but appear to be getting ready for the evening's activities. Young male on the left
She dropped down to the ledge
21:07
21:08 She flew out shortly followed by the male at 21:09
She'd flown
Just before he left
They've been extremely quiet. I can hear the hum from the nestcam mic so I'm hoping I haven't lost the sound completely and that they are silent so far.
Picking up the prey from tray this morning
Thanks Wendy, it looked a lot bigger than that on the tray.
Looked to be resting on something else, maybe a pellet?
Could very well have been.
22:27 One on the back beam eating. I didn't hear any calling prior to this
22:31 Finished its meal and resting on the beam
22:38 I can hear one calling, in the distance rather than in the barn
22:49 The rasping is a lot closer now
22:51 Slightly further away
23:25 One still on the back beam (silent), the other is nearby calling. Goodnight
Morning all
Just a quick scan of posts be back later..
One in Barn
Good morning Kate :)
It appears to be the young female, still in the same position at 9:05 - EN
In this scap she looks as though her feet are sticking forward and she is resting on the diagonal, but am sure she must be a bit behind it.
20.00
All empty unless hiding,
but hope fully will have a good nights hunting, as rain all day today.
