I don't know if many of you were watching Country File this evening,it was based for some of the time at RSPB Fairburn Ings. This is our closest RSPB reserve although we do not visit as often as we might. Tonight Matt Baker was spending some time with the junior rangers on the reserve. What an inspirational bunch of youngsters they were. If this crew are going to look after wildlife after we have messed it up I think wildlife may be in safe hands. Well done kids keep at it. If my eldest grandson, now nearly 7, shows as much interest as these young ones I will be dead chuffed.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
I watched that too & was of great interest to see some of this reserve which is so very far from mine but familiar because of the many times I have read others posts about it on here!
