Really sad to see gannets in that state. Remember Marine rubbish can be fatal to our seabirds like the Grassholm gannets around 15% of the UK and Irish population of Gannets nest on Grassholm. Why not go beach cleaning to help! :)
Agree with Tom,the state of the rubbish in the Gannet nests was disgusting,no doubt quite a bit of it finds its way into the sea by accident and we may have little control over that but we do need to be more aware of the stuff we just throw away,many modern materials just do not break down.Beach clean ups are a great help but not all of us can help out there,but thanks to those who do.
