I must admit, I'm enjoying seeing the birds around in the mornings! I used to work evenings so I was rarely out and about early, but since staring my new job I've been about during the morning. Watching the geese head out to their feeding grounds (and returning to their roosts in the afternoon) is amazing and the other morning I saw a big flock of thrushes flying across the road as I was driving to work. Not to mention walking the dog on the morning and hearing a dawn chorus of pheasent and buzzard! Unfortunately they are so loud they drown out the poor robins lol

Hi Kat! Good to know that the new job is giving you better wildlife spotting opportunities!
I certainly see a lot of wildlife going to & from work! But then I'm lucky to go via quiet country lanes! I love the variation of wildlife that I see on my way home between summer & winter (time zone not season!). The summer I see more of the hares, birds of prey, tawny & little owls, occasionally deer and lots of birds. Winter I see the odd fox & badger, many more deer and quite a few barn owls!
Talking of noisy pheasants, I stood one evening a few weeks back, watched and listened to hundreds of pheasants going to roost for the night and the noise was incredible!! Each one did the noisy wingbeat whilst doing the loud 'cockup' call and it far from a peaceful evening! Lol!! Never heard anything like it! They are funny!
