Hello all, Spent a couple of hours at my local Vane Farm at the weekend. Rain, sleet and snow. Not all bad being confined to a hide watching the finches and trying to get the odd photo when the light allowed is fun!! honest :-) it was cold very cold. The sound of Brambling meant I was going nowhere without a shot of one.
Reed Bunting showed up.
Around 20 Yellowhammer turned up! Had to crop to get site to upload!!
Brambling Yeah.....! Light not good but ID is there.
Then out of the mist came the Loch Leven Monster.... Ok three of them! .....Buses :-0
I know it is misty but I like the feel! and anyway it was all that was on offer. White tailed Sea Eagle.
and I'm not a fan of the tags makes it look like a pet!
Hope you enjoy, I did! (three of them)
John :-)
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
Hi Highland, I saw your post earlier, I wanted to say, I love the Eagle in the mist, looks like a mythical beast, then your post disapeared so I couldn't, so there I've now said it. They must be quite a sight, the closest I've ever got to seeing such a beast is the Ospreys in the Lakes, something you never forget, your first sighting of such a bird.

Brilliant pictures John. I absolutely love the Sea Eagles. Quite EERIE. Just been reading a comment on the LG Weekly Chat about one of the members seeing the two Sea Eagles at Vane Farm today as he was having a cup of tea ( no photos). He also says one of them landed in a tree on the other side of the loch. I really do envy you both.
Hi John
A nice little listing of birds there John, and as for seeing an Sea Eagle that is an added bonus.
Bramblings are lovely little birds. Last time I saw one was my last garden about two years ago. Love the Orange colours of the male bird.
I remember seeing a Golden Eagle flying in slow circles near the hills in Scotland, while travelling to Aberdeen years ago. The call just echoed of the hills all around the area. So eerie!
A fabulous sight to see, and I felt honoured to see the bird for those 'special' few moments

Thanks for comments, all I can see now is blue ? again, The pictures showed to begin with, strange and slightly off putting!
Try one for good luck!!!
Oh no. No pictures. They seem to disappear overnight. I will keep checking.

I can't see them either John.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
I can't see them either, are they on your flikr page?

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...

I can now see the one you posted at 4.20 p.m. but none of the ones in your first post!!!!!
The one I can see is a brilliant shot! Well done!!!!!
Sorry, but I can't see any of the pictures. What a shame. I'll try again.
Cheers, Linda.

No Pictures showing John.
It is still really annoying and somewhat bewildering as to why this problem hasn't been sorted.
I have resorted to not posting any new threads with photo's and have not attempted to post any in the gallery!
It seems to be a total waste of time and effort!
Sorry for my rant on your post.
