I've just got back from a week away. For anyone who wants to guess/work out where I was, I'll post a series of photo clues... here is clue 1:
PS - some of you already know where I went but please don't give the game away :)

Oh my goodness, now I am confused. I think that's a Little Green Bee-eater (Merops orientalis) although not 100% sure. If so, then I'm guessing somewhere like Israel, Egypt or even further east like the Arabian Gulf, Oman perhaps.
PS If these are a preview of what you've seen, aiki, then we are in for a treat. Can't wait.

I know where aiki's been too, but I'm going to keep quiet. It's a place I'd like to visit too!
Welcome back, aiki - hope it was a productive trip!

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone. It was a productive trip, though looking through the photos now I wish I could go back and have another go! Here is a fifth clue, which may help to narrow things down a bit...
Gibraltar?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Rockwolf said: which may help to narrow things down a bit... It might if I knew what it was! Lol! Cracking shot in any case! [/quote] OK, an easier clue for no. 6 :) (and apologies for the rubbish photo - conditions were a little challenging!) Egypt?
Crikey, aiki, your clues are getting harder. I couldn't ID the raptor either. I think the snake might be an Indian Cobra so are we looking even further east than I thought. Somewhere on the Indian sub-continent?
Ok..... I think I have it based on the last shot, but never knew Orca could be seen there! Lol! So bit confused (doesn't take much!)
Edit: post crossed with TJ, yes India!
TeeJay and MarJus are soooo close. So this has to be the last clue as it's the only animal I photographed that I know for sure is found nowhere else apart from the country I visited...
