My Spanish photos

  • It is a bit darker and that has improved the photo no end..
It just shows the canaflagued look of bird really makes it hard to see. That is good for the bird but it makes it hard for us to see.

I can see the detail on the birds head area now and not just the tail

    Thats good
  • In reply to Peewit:

Could it do with any more improvements or is it ok?
  • The tree in the forefront adds the secret look to where the bird is hiding in the undergrowth so I like that

I think you have improved it no end and it can be seen as a bird now and some leaves.

    Thank you

I still remember seeing the Nightjar like it was yesterday. While travelling about wth my bird group in Spain, we came across rows of other bird groups which had congregated in one area if the roadway. We stopped for a look like you do to ask what was going on.
People stood with their cameras, and scopes aimed over the top of a wooden fence, and down an embankment of trees - people all looking at one another, all rather excited pointing over the fence

Dave and I stood and asked what was going in and it was confirmed that there was Red Necked Nightjar sitting behind some spindly moss laden trees. It took us a while to see the outline of the bird because it was so well camouflaged in the undergrowth.

So we took a few photos, and hoped for the best and this was the best of the photos that we took of the bird. Great tick to add but I tend not to do that but have a bird list to efer to instead.in my notes.
