Wildlife on the Gironde estuary - Our first garden Snipe

It's just one of those gob-smacking days for birds. Just as well, it's foggy & 3°C max. What else can you do but sit in & watch the birds!

P.S. Just had a Cirl bunting & Chiffchaff go through!

    Best wishes

Wow, what an exciting collection of birds, Hazel. The cold northerly winds from the Arctic have a benefit after all.

Very envious of your lovely shots of the Hawfinches not to mention a Brambling and a Firecrest at your back door. It doesn't get much better than that.

It's turned mild and grey here today. I'm seeing Redwings gathering in the trees round me but they are too far for photos and the light is so poor anyway.
