help!what camera.

Hi, 
 I am looking to purchase an olympusx43 14mp 5x optical zoom camera mainly to photograph birds etc in my garden or when i am out on a walk, does anyone out there think this one will be a good camera to start me off .

As has already been said, you really need to look for something with a bigger zoom if you are wanting to photograph birds. There are plenty out there to suit most budgets, if it comes down to it I would highly recommend saving for a camera with a better zoon rather than buying something that has limited use for what you want to use it for. While there are plenty of cameras that could be recommended that fit what you are wanting, I think the best thing to do will be to visit a camera shop and take a look at the options, that way you can feel the weight of the camera, how easy it is to hold/use etc to get an idea of which is most suited to you. Make a list of the ones you like and then take a look online to see what the best prices are.
