Lovely set ILR, nice variety again I would ask if your mistle thrush is a song thrush, but I'm so rubbish at thrush (and warbler) ID's I daren't! loll
I have yet to see a lapwing, shelduck or a swallow, nice set of photo's ILR. You certainly have access to a good variety.
Thank you Sal I decided that another early morning venture out might bring its rewards and It had been a while since my last visit to Staveley and as it turned out it was a good decision. As there was only one car in the car park when I arrived I almost had the reserve to myself and as it happened I never saw the other person. My first sighting was a deer but unfortunately for me it saw me first and was off like the clappers and disappeared before I could get a photo. Not to be disheartened I carried on and saw a chiffchaff and some rabbits, the next bird that I saw looked like a wood warbler ? It’s a large reserve with different paths to follow and as it was early morning there was always the chance of seeing an Owl as I had seen a Barn Owl there before. As you can see from the photos I was happy with what I had seen and after around four hours walking around the reserve I was ready to head off home which was a good choice as the reserve was getting busy at that time. Thanks for viewing Sal.
Thank you Linda your not doing too bad yourself and it’s good to see you are getting out and about and it’s been really good to see your photos and places that you have visited and your sightings have been brilliant.
Thank you PB when it comes to ID’s Especially for warblers they are so alike so any help in that direction is always welcome. Glad you liked the variety PB.
Thank you Snappy I must admit that when I am out and about I do try to photograph an assortment of birds as they all have different poses and if I see one that I have not seen before I am over moon. Thanks for viewing Snappy.
