Thanks Mr Kes. I never use a tripod for birds. Very occasionally when I know it will be low light I use a monopod, but not for this photo.

I once visited Balloch on the side of Loch Lomond a long time ago - just overnight fortunately. The pub shut at 10pm, and I couldn't get anything to eat. I think I got some crisps or something from a petrol station. The place I stayed was just laid out like someones house - I used their front door, sat in their living room with them, shared their bathroom and had breakfast with them and their kids getting ready for school. And it was raining the whole time so I never saw the Loch! Never again ... .
