Hucclecote and a buzzy trip at the field called Liberty Orchard

The field was buzzing with different types of Wild life

First honey Bee of the year

A species of Bee mimic called The Bee fly

Pollinating a dandelion

Hovering

Leaving

Coincidentally enough it was time for me to leave aswell

when I went back Mum let me take pictures in the garden

Beetle

The Beetle was a curious little beetle cause when it came over  it landed on my right hand when I was taking pictures it didn’t stay for long though and flew off

the sun started setting

after that I came and had tea and watched some of wild isles Grassland by David Attenborough then it was time to go back

  • It was definitely worth the trip and it was very sunny
  • It took me almost 2 hours make cause I had lots of photos. Did anyone enjoy the post about the trip?

  • In reply to Zo Clark:

Love it Zo, the Bee Fly s one of my favourites due to the way it flies and moves so fast

  • In reply to Peewit:

Usually with insects and invertrevretes like bees wasps and mimics ans other insects and invertrevretes I approach them and take pictures and continue taking photos as I gradually get closer until they let me watch them close but I do it already bent down or I just slowly aproach. Cause If you just walk up to them they’ll just get scared and fly off. As long as you don’t make much movements while you got your camara they will just treat you like your part of the environment. The bee fly was only a short distance from me when I was taking a photo of something and just as it was time to leave I spotted the bee fly so I approached it and took photos I tryed to get take photos of it pollinating

but also of the wings going when it was hovering and then leaving.  my phone did let me take some but I had to do photo bursts one photo after another.

my phone didn’t register that I had my finger pressed down on the button at one point so I had to lift my finger and then press down again and keep it down so it didn’t take as many as I needed to see if I can freeze the wings in motion but I still took a lot and you can still see them moving. If I only took one instead of bursts no one would of been able to see them moving in the photo cause the wings were so fast

  • I saw a Rabbit in the field a few fields down on the way to the orchard but I had a dog on my lap and my phone had fell between my legs so by the time I picked my phone up it would of passed I usually have it ready in case something pops up out the window though
