Yes they never land in the garden but they soar over on sunny days sometimes. when the gulls spot them it drives them nuts. It doesn’t allways call when it arives but Its not allways necessary for me to hear the Buzzards call cause the gulls Let me know if they spot them. But Today it did announce its presence before I saw it. So after it called and the gulls went nuts I started recording. After the recording it got chased off but it came back again but it rode the thermals to high to record.

Peewit said:I have seen Crows here doing their worst to drive Buzzards away. Each Buzzard that appears has at least one good sized Crow chasing after it and harassing it. It has no effect though so it seems. Not so much with Gulls. All BOPs have this problem with Crows but there again it is Crows defending their right to breed and be successful in their breeding without BoPs having their lunch/dinner on a Crow youngster and who can blame them Mother Nature doing her thing once more
I wouldn’t say more or less for gulls or the crow family cause i get gulls here every day and get Buzzards in sunny days. and I also have carrion crows that visit the area almost every day. I also go to farmland and places with Rooks and Jackdaws and both gulls and the crow family feell threatened at the sight of a Buzzard and try to drive it away i see it very often with gulls whereas you see it often with the crow family. I have also seen both carrion crows and Gulls chase then off in our area in some cases rather than just gulls or just the crow family
Yes birds of prey do tend to have that problem of being pestered. but at the same you can’t blame them. I find that sometimes it seems to work and does fly off but then sometimes it doesn’t allways necessarily leave and that’s it cause it sometimes comes back again.
Another one.
