There wasnt any proper snow cause it didn’t settle. It came down and just melted into water so It was just sleet but it was heavy and lasted most of the day. It rained later and then it sleeted again after tea. the birds didnt seem to be too bothered but I wouldn’t say they were keen on the sleet. The bird that is flying through the sleet was a Woodpigeon but the Starlings did a lot of flying around the area before flying away somewhere and settling down to roost for the evening I wonder what it’s like to fly through sleet.

I think that the weather forecast is there to scare us all at times. The UK seems to fall to pieces when a bit of snow appears. Scotland does get the worst though I believe that.

While living in Scotland, I still remember my mum and dad digging out the drive of sometimes a foot of snow or more. Not easy if you are going to work.- Still remember the 1962-1963 year blast of snow well featured on the TV

Wales is supposed to be getting a bit but not a lot. It has been more sleety today like in our patch.

Birds hate cold weather and they rely on you for their food and they let you know big time. You will get all wafs and strays at your doorstep.as you know already all birds out on patrol for food
