I used to pick rhubarb when I was a child - 100 years ago! in my uncle's allotment. My Auntie would then give me a dish of sugar to dip it in, and I would eat it raw. Didn't wash it or anything. No health and safety in those days ... .

Ivy berries. Woodies are quite fond of them at this time of year.

This can be quite comical. The flower (& berry-bearing) shoots on ivy are bendy, and depending on where the ivy is growing the weight of a woodie means that they have a little difficulty in getting to the berries. Lots of flapping.

Saw my first Butterfly of the year in the garden yesterday. Unfortunately it didn't hang about for a photo.... I believe it was a small white.
