Interesting how it loses the darker head colouring in Winter also did you know CHOL:):) The species-specific part of the black-headed gull's Latin name, Chroicocephalus ridibundus, means 'laughing ' and comes from its 'ke-ke-ke' and 'kverarrr' calls
