  • Thanks. one of the exiting things about Wildlife which Spiders and other acrachnids are. There’s lots of different types some you havnt even seen before. Spiders often go overlooked.  people tend to be scared of them cause some of them look drab and hairy and don’t know what to exspect what it’s going to do and if it’s going to bite but the spiders in Britain are harmless. They tend to not be all colourful and tend to be rather dull coloured but that is so that they are well camfauged. Some species of moth are the same. Spiders didnt choose to look dull and boring instead they were born that way cause it helps there survival and just like rather plain coloured moths theres a lot more to them than meets the eye. The species in Britain are usually harmless to humans. There are a few that might bite if they feel threatened but there venom isn’t potent enough to affect humans or cause any kind of reactions to it unless you have an allergy to the bites so The only time it will affect a human is if you have an allergy to them. with ones that do bite they don’t cause any problems unless you have an allergy to them. Most species of spiders are usually actually quiet timid so will run away rather than bite Thst also goes for the species that do bite. And they only bite if they feel threatened. with ones that can when they feel threatened Usually it’s first instinct is to run away from you and hide but If you make it feel trapped or unable to escape then it will have no choice but to bite so they usually only do it as a last resort. A lot of the fear of spiders tend to come from the fact there’s still a lot me don’t know about them and think some of them look like tarantulas but we don’t usually have any of those in this country
