A Lovely day today, and what better than to be out in the country looking for wildlife.

Yes another Mandarin

And a Canada Goose keeping his wits about him

And by the look of things he has seen it all before.

A female chaffinch looks to have found something nice to eat.

And by the looks of it has made a meal out of it.

And whatever it was she has eaten she is now walking it off.

Now we can't have a walk in the country without a wild flower

now can we.

No its not easter, but a lovely yorkshire Rabbit

Well you can't have one without another can you.

Is it a plane or is it Superman, no it's a Red Kite.

And another

What another ? Yes another.

OK Thats your lot for today.

  • Lovely photos and sightings ILR, how thrilling to see the Red Kite and the handsome Mandarin drake; female chaffinches are always a delight to see and such attractive finches with their delicate features, Nice way to start the day, thanks.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can

Lol PB I probably saw more than three, although too far to photograph, but I did cheat a little as I always see them at this venue it is perfect for owls as well although I have never seen one there but not been there early morning or at dusk. Now there's a thought ? Thanks PB
