My first post in the forum. Just moved to a place near Whaplode, Lincolnshire. I am now in the process of trying to photo catalogue all the birds that arrive. :-)
I am not the best photographer.

Its very easy to get carried away, especially when many cameras today will chatter away at between 5-10 frames a second. A few burst at 2 secs each, and it doesn't bare thinking about, but an end of day count of 200+ is an easy thing to attain.
Sorting gets harder as you get nearer the end, once all the out-of-focus and camera shake pics are removed!
Grateful if someone could identify this bird please. Hit my window with some force and left a few feathers behind. It eventually flew off to the fence where I managed to photo it. It has now flown off. :-) Would like to add it to the ever growing list of birds we are recording.
Wendy and Hazel,
Thank you very much for identifying the bird for me. Glad it was OK after it's encounter with my window. :-)
Another to add to the list. :-)
Kind Regards
Ed
Not the best but I will keep practicing. :-) Just a shame the gate got in the way. Had to heavily crop one photo.
I hope you like these.
Love the way the goldfinches colours "pop" :o)
(when you post pictures, if you change the dimensions to 800 in the 1st box, and 0 in the 2nd, my poor old eyes won't get strained looking at your pics )
