Another Afternoon by the river

Nice selection again ILR. I think the last time I saw goosander was along the river at Fountains Abbey middle of last year :o)

Thank you PB it was a first for me, I took the photos late in the day. I had been to some woods before I got to the river, I didn’t see anything in the woods to photograph so I went to the river. It’s a shame the photos are poor,

Poor is when you gotta take them inside house because its bucketing down so nothing poor about yours

For me, getting clear views of Redwing (as opposed to half-hidden behind twigs) is rarer than Goosanders! But if you never seen one before then that is always special and memorable and even better if you get a photo or two as well!!

ILR, I agree with PB, Linda and Nigel--any photo, especially of something you have not seen before, is great. And that is coming from someone who does not carry a camera. The photos, good and less so, and the frequent knowledge and occasional silliness on this and other threads here on the forum are helping to keep me sane through this virus thing, or at least as sane as I have ever managed (no rude comments from the rest of you, please--lol!)
