Nice shots ILR, it looked nice light on the swans and GC Grebes. It's years since I've seen a Jay :o(

Lovely set ILR; good to see the Great Crested Grebes and their offspring; the Jay makes me laugh as it peeks out of the long grass, they are such intelligent birds as with all corvids, always watchful and the elegant mute swan looking regal as always.

The Jay flew in front of me into the long grass and was playing hide and seek, the same thing happened to me last year at another reserve. I must be lucky PB, It was another nice day and the great crested grebes turned up as I was heading off home.

Hi Hazel it was quiet yesterday, for me anyway as I took a different walk around the reserve, but I was rewarded with the few birds that I saw, all favourites of mine and was lucky again with the weather.
