Although our pond does look a little messy at present it is obviously in good health as there were plenty of Water Boatmen skimming across the surface a few days ago.
And just hanging below the surface a number of this years newt Efts so you can see the new front legs and their gills but no sign yet of rear legs. I will try to keep a watch on their development and get some more pictures as they develop.
I could not get down near enough with the macro lens so have used my 100-400mm zoom for these shots.
