Baddesley Clinton 23 March 2019

While visiting Middleton Lake, I took a detour to Baddesley Clinton, a medieval moated house, where they often have a good display of flowers, along with the waterfowl that frequent the moat and lakes.

Close to the house is a church, which often has a good display of wild flowers, and this spring was no exception with the daffodil display.

It also gives very often some good rural views as well. for all seasons.

  • What a beautiful scene with the church and grounds full of daffodils surrounded by pasture, a sure sign we are into spring at last. Lovely photos Mike.
  • Lovely views. You won't get that church from the same angle once the trees are in leaf!

    Thank you Hazel.

Apart from last year (which was wet and miserable if we remember), the daffs have always given a first class display.

Next stop will be the bluebells, and that won't be long.

    Thank you Nige.

I was looking back at some photos taken a decade ago, and how the trees have changed over that time. There was a time when the church was in full view, but the small tree right in front has grown considerably.

    Next stop, the bluebells.
