Hi,
My goldfinches are not only back, but have more than doubled in number.
I had 5 before they did a bunk, and this lunch time I had 12 all feeding at once. I couldn't believe my eyes. They came back again a bit later, so it wasn't a fluke.
Buzzard - are they yours?
Cheers, Linda.

I'm afraid to admit, the HUGE numbers that I was getting have virtually all gone.( Sob Sob Sob )
I have my hardcore six to ten, but even these haven't visited everyday!
Stop pinching them from me....
Regards Buzzard

Well done Sparrow. At least you haven't nicked mine.
Now for the reed buntings!

Great news Sparrow. Poor Buzzard though - so few left. TJ, whatever you do, don't tell Buzzard where you live ☺☺☺
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
I think they have shrunk in the wet, Ive only been getting the odd 1 most days.
Our goldfinch are still here and I am hoping I live too far away from Buzzard. What I must say though is that our chaffinch numbers have increased even more today. As they are flying in and out of a v. large maple tree, it is impossible to attempt a count but they are on every hanging feeder and competing with the ground feeders.
Sorry Juno. I must have yours and some of Buzzard's! (and no, you can't have them back). My little charm reduced from 5 to 1. Can you have a charm of 1? This one only came when he felt like it, and not for several days. Then today, 12 all at once, so there is hope.
Congratulations Sparrow, I told you they would be back! I'm so pleased for you, now you have to spend a fortune on nyger seed as well as suet pellets.
And sunflower hearts - they like those as well!!!
Mine have gone off the sunflower hearts atm. Don't know why, they are in good condition etc. Other birds are eating them.
Mine were eating both. Half on the nyjer feeder, half on the sunflower hearts, watched over by 4 starlings on the pinnacle and arms of the pole!!!
