Good morning again. We found this egg in dense woodlands. I'm interested in finding out which bird it belongs to and what sort of animal might have eaten it? Thank you
I would guess rodent of some sort - possibly squirrel and I'm leaning towards a Song thrush

Yes--Song Thrush..but i am leaning more to bird predation, such as Magpie..given the two neat holes in both eggs, suggesting stabbed with two mandibles to pick up/remove for the nest
I tend to agree with it being a bird predator, and as it's dense woodland would also throw in jay as a possibility.
