I was out strolling the patch yesterday, wrapped up in three layers, especially for the sun to appear!!!!! I was standing on a grassy lane surrounded by Gorse and other shrubs, cooking, when I spotted this, WAY up!
Terrible shots but, can anyone ID with any certainty please? I have my ideas ......

PS it's in central Perthshire
Many thanks
Is that a juvenile white-tailed eagle?
Not sure Chris, underwing pattern looks different?
It’s a Common Buzzard lacking tail feathers.
Must admit, my thoughts were common buzzard with either missing/hidden tail.
Whatever, nice photos Brian, and with a nice blue sky.
Though I've not seen or heard any confirmation, I understand there's been an eagle spotted at/around the Loch Insh area.

We have a couple near Loch of Lintrathen, allegedly nesting there, not seen them myself .... yet On the Buzzard? I am tempted to agree but those wings appeared HUGE! There were five Buzzards around though ....
Buzzard. Having the tail missing may have made the wings appear larger proportionately than they actually were. There is also some variation in size, with females tending to be larger than males.
