I am still learning to identify the birds I see. I am struggling during winter to be clear about winter plumage and so I'd be grateful for help in ID-ing these little beauties.
They were all seen yesterday on the foreshore at Hoylake, Wirral.
I think the first two are a Rock Pippit?
The second a Godwit but not sure what type?
And the third maybe a Linnet?

The wader is a redshank. You are right re linnet. Top photos look like a ringed rock pipit.
Thank you so much. Isn't the redshank too dark? Or is that how they are in winter?
All spot on but as stealthy says, that's a Redshank
