Flocks of waders

Took these three photos today of large flocks of waders by the waterline, but have no idea what they are - can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

  • All three images show a mix of birds.

The first two definitetly have curlew, clearly identifiable by the beaks, possibly wimbrel as well and others may also be in the flock. There could be godwits among the flocks as well.

The third image seems to be gulls, or something like gulls, but I really can't help any further from there.

If the images are from the same area, a local reserve might be able to advise what they have as regular visitors.

    regards
