Birds seen on farmland today

My guess is that they are Guinea Fowl but best wait until an expert shows up ;-)

Quite a surprise - we've never seen any before. In the same field we saw numerous pheasants, a roe deer and a hare as well.

It's always lovely to see something new ;-)

By my calculation, that makes roe deer the winner of the 'most native of these species' category.

They are guineafowl. Domestic birds and very noisy.

Based on the assumption that mountain hare never ever get spotted in Suffolk.

(I'd be truly shocked if they were).

With HPAI, should commercially raised birds be roaming around? Are they contributing to the spread of HPAI?
