Birds seen on farmland today

Came across this group today next to a public right of way near to Stowmarket, Suffolk - quite vocal for a while. Anyone know what they are please?

My guess is that they are Guinea Fowl but best wait until an expert shows up ;-)

Thanks for confirming.
Quite a surprise - we've never seen any before. In the same field we saw numerous pheasants, a roe deer and a hare as well.

They are guineafowl. Domestic birds and very noisy.
