Is this a Sparrowhawk??

It sure is a Sparrowhawk ;-)

It could be the twin of the one currently in my garden..

I'm amazed at how patient the sparrowhawk is. It's now been siting patiently in the same position for an hour. It must think this is a good place for dinner.

Let's hope it gets a meal then Stephen! ;-)

I would have thought it would have found somewhere higher up out the way to sit and be fed up after being full up ..but maybe it ate too much and that's as far as it got lol

Or it might have vertigo

It was spotted on a neighbour's gate, here on the Kent Coast. Spectacular bird to view, it hung around for approx. 15 mins, before elegantly flying off.

Could be?? I have never seen one before this, are they common?

They are common garden visitors now as we set up feeding stations for our garden birds...easy prey for the sprawks...like a fly through mcds for them lol

Fabulous birds to watch even when they get one of their garden birds....
