Hi, can anyone identify this please? We have a pair in our garden on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We're thinking Common or Lesser Redpoll?

Only thing is Google ain't always reliable ;-)
Us birders still prefer to mostly use good old fashioned books, knowledge and experience ;-)

I'm not seeing the problem-

THEY DON'T look like Mealy or Arctic Redpolls

They look like Lessers

If you put your own name into Google and then look at the results expecting to see yourself...

Chris - I was more talking about images as this is where many newbies get lost/confused/wrong answers.

So going by this, Chris - looking at Google images, you seem to be wanted by the police for something to do with caravans :)

Oddly....a think more worryingly is what you should have said...lack of privacy, clear them cookies/history and Google tracking!

Good point. Its interesting that the More common one which is the Lesser Redpoll now. Could  of been less common than the Common redpoll which is the less common now
