Yesterday afternoon I took this photo over RSPB Otmoor in Oxfordshire. It's been suggested to me that they are Skua (but uncertain which type), but would they be seen so far inland? Could they be something else? There were four birds in all, and I only saw them once while I was there. Any help would be appreciated.
Only on small screen tonight, but does the person suggesting skua not think they look more like golden plover?…..edit. See my subsequent post.
