as this is a nice friendly forum I'm going to have a stab at identifying the latest bird from this morning's walk. Snapped him on the moorland, heathery slopes of Benaquhallie. It reminded me of a wheatear i took last year but has a less distinctive banding around the eyes and more peach coloured than grey...could it be a female Wheatear or a Greenland Wheatear ?? I did notice the tail flicking down a fair bit as it posed for the photo..
appreciate any thoughts on this.
There's no such bird in my books!
That's because there are so many species, it would be impossible for a publisher to show every species on the planet, but a quick web search suggests it could be, and my cheeky reply is because I want to monitor the replies for my own interest.
Hopefully you'll get an answer and I'm hooked...
