Hi, Can anyone identify this bird that's been coming to my garden recently please? It's bigger than a chaffinch and house sparrow and walks, not hops. It's too big for a meadow pipit I thought and looks much stockier than a pipit but I'm probably wrong. It's very striking really and stands out from the other birds poking about under the bird feeders. I live in the Outer Hebrides and we get all sorts coming through. It is on its own and there doesn't appear to be a male/female counterpart. Many thanks.
