Hi Smithy,
Looks like a female Common Chaffinch. Has it got an injured eye or is that just a twig in the way?

Hello Violet, welcome from up in the very far north of Scotland in Caithness. You have had much advice and chat from Hazel regarding your female Waggytail, so not much I can add to that. Our feather friends are a delight to watch and follow, so enjoy them. Are you taking part in the Big Garden Watch next weekend?
