Woodland bird

    Not surprised they came to see them,until about 10 years ago we could get 60+ on a local reserve in winter but recently 10 is a good,and unusual,count. Down to habitat loss it is said

  • Thanks for your assistance, guys. Sorry I couldn’t supply a better photo. It”s unlikely to have been a Yellowhammer at Woodberry Wetlands and according to the latest sightings there were no Linnets about, so I think we can safely assume it was a Greenfinch.

    Only a Greenfinch then. :-)  I always think that if they were rare, people would come from miles around just to see how beautiful they are.
