Is this box tree caterpillar?

I've found one in the park chilling on the stone :).. But I am not sure, since box tree caterpillars look a little different? (they don't have the middle strip?)

  • I would say "not" as it looks more than a little different, but I'm not an expert and there are many greenish ones with stripes so I can't tell you what it actually is.

  • Not for me either, I'm away at the moment so can't help with it's name.

  • Morning. With Hazel away, another approach would be to go to www.wildlifeinsight.com/. I got a Mullein Moth ID from Steve Ogden a couple of months ago (and have earmarked the plant, a Figwort, not to be repotted for a few years in the hope that they're down in the dirt, so to speak).
If you do that, perhaps you'd come back with that opinion?

    Best regards -

  • It could be a butterfly caterpillar.
