Sorry couldn't figure out how to edit my first post. I *think* these may be house sparrows but the red stripe on the middle one's wings is making me think not. Thanks again!

Yes, I'd agree with House Sparrows. The middle one is a male and it's the russet patch you can see. I think the top one is probably also a male but difficult to see.
