I'm not an expert but this looks like a quail? Anyone have a better idea? Looks to be a game bird of

Ah, yes! So it might be ok, quails walk around quite a bit rather than fly don’t they? Thanks for your reply.

No expert either but from head markings I’m more inclined towards juvenile red-legged partridge/chukar.
