I recorded this beautiful bird song this morning at 4.30am from my bedroom window in Hunworth North Norfolk NR24 2EH. What is it? My housemate thinks it is a bird imitating another bird

Sounds like a Song Thrush to me, Emma. They have quite a range of vocalisations but the repeated phrases are very characteristic. They are the typical early morning (and late evening) songsters.
