As dusk fell, this wader ran along the edge of a stream at Medmerry, West Sussex. Any ideas welcome.

Its got the silhouette of a Redshank, but I am normally wrong :)

Thanks. I did wonder about green shank but it’s legs seemed too dark, although in that light I guess it’s not surprising.

Looking at that bill shape and the birds stance I would say Greenshank,not had one locally this year yet. Always an elegany looking wader and a joy to see
