These two were wandering around my garden this morning. Sorry the picture is blurry. I'm not convinced their tails are long enough to be pheasants - though we do have a lot of pheasants around here - I would expect to see a male and female if it's a pair, but it's clearly not a male pheasant. They were quite large - at least the size of a hen.
